Happy Lantern festival 元宵节快乐
Lantern Festival falls on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month. Mostly, it is the last day of spring festival. This is the first full moon of the new year, symbolizing unity and perfection. Lantern Festival is an important part of Spring Festival , and marks the official end of the long holiday.
Generally, people will eat sweet dumpling as celebrating. So let’s have a look at some useful vocabulary that is used during the Lantern festival (22nd of February this year or the 15th day in the Lunar calendar).

元宵节快乐:yuán xiāo jié kuài lè. yuán xiāo jié= Lantern festival (but 元宵– yuán xiāo is not Lantern, which is sweet dumpling), kuài lè= happy
- Sweet dumpling
汤圆: tāng yuán ( for south china ) Or 元宵:yuán xiāo (for north china)
- Lantern
灯笼: dēng long

that is just a characteristic decoration in the festival, in Chinese version we don’t call it lantern festival
